There are days when the task of creating the comic is ridiculously easy. Today's notion, although created and executed a little closer to the deadline than we normally like, was one that worked right away with very little effort on our part.
Granted, we had to go through a ton of bad ideas to get to this one, but this is a place for me to record my preferred version of history and the good times are what I choose to remember.
I've been working non-stop since my return home, until finally last night I broke down and threw in Gears of War for a few chain-saw grinding hours. It was incredibly rewarding, and I remembered why I liked playing video games in the first place. So I treated myself to a few rounds of Call of Duty: World at War today, and I imagine I'll be loading up some Left 4 Dead to go with my second Dewar's and soda in the immediate future.
It's times like this that I am incredibly envious of people who write video-game centric comics, like the Scotts over at The Slackers, or Joel over at Hijinks Ensue. I know he says it's not a video game comic, but I find that to be a silly statement.
I know that Thursday I promised a written version of my time in DC, but it turns out I'm not a very good story writer. I have decided that those words will never see the light of day. I shouldn't have promised them to you in the first place. I apologize, but sometimes you have to realize that you're not Hunter S. Thompson and learn to burn stuff that's no good.
I finally bought the latest MC Frontalot album, and I have to say that it is quite enjoyable. "Diseases of Yore" is what pulled me in, so I guess Pandora is actually good for something! For those of you who don't know (and if you don't know, you might get shot) MC Frontalot is the front-man of the Nerdcore movement, which is exactly what it sounds like - nerds rapping about nerd stuff. It's awesome, and I will gladly absorb the snickers of my peers for announcing my allegiance to The Front.
Actually, I'm pretty hungry, and a Snickers sounds damn good right about now. Anyone who would like to help defray the cost of that satisfying treat, please remember that you can purchase prints of your favorite strips with relative ease.
It's still a new system, and any suggestions/complaints that anyone has can be directed to me.
